From a highly fertile Ganga-Yamuna
doab region and one of the most prosperous cities of U.P lies a devastating
incident of peace and family shattered in Muzaffarnagar. On August 27th, 2013,
a wave of terror plagued the city creating disputes and violence of the highest
nature. This documentary focuses on the riots instigated by the Jat community
on the Muslim community influenced by the Sang Parivar which led to rapes and
murders and the aftermath conditions of people of that area. The administration
and the police never took any action on the perpetrators and kept mum on the
issue till the riots were over.
Brutality is an understatement to these
heinous crime committed. Anhad Film shows the plight of the Muslim community which
leaves a dark chapter in Indian history. Now people fear going back to their
village, with a little glimmer of hope in their stay at relief camps they fight
the odds to survive.
